              “Peiliang’s
paintings convey a refreshing sense of optimism.  His
watercolors evoke the dawn of a new day or the very pleasant
golden haze of a world we may wish to see, but somehow seldom
              find.”

A landscape painter of outdoor scenes, particularly in
watercolor, Shanghai-born artist Peiliang Jin blends a unique synthesis of
              East
              and West through both traditional
Chinese and modern art. His technique is inspired by his classical
training and in the ancient watercolor methods of Chinese art.
 Peiliang’s cosmopolitan Shanghai-style is
underscored by a consummate passion which creates an exceptional
technique which envelops our senses and gently warms us
internally. His unique background of traditional Chinese art,
modern art, and portrait art and his extraordinary eye for
blending color all combine to give us a harmonious vision of the
peace and tranquility of the world.
Fine point brushes allow him, with a
single stroke, to convey accuracy and delicacy to highlight
anchor structures such as trees and flowers within a painting,
while at the same time blending curve, color and light in the
more expansive parts of the picture.  The total effect of
his technique engagingly pulls the viewer into the painting
				itself.
Born in Shanghai China in 1958, Peiliang Jin emigrated to the USA in 1988 and later became an
American citizen. Raised in an artist’s family, his father and
grandfather are both portrait painters, Peiliang first studied
traditional Chinese painting for seventeen years from two noted
masters; Jian-Lou Cao and Yo Ding in Shanghai. In the late 1980’s
he studied modern art at the Dusseldorf
Art Academy in Germany. He also received a degree from the Fashion
Institute of Technology in New York.  His work has been exhibited
in many shows and appears in over 100 private collections.
Peiliang lives in New York City
              with his wife and daughter.
